Not surprisingly, the consequence of the legally indefensible Supreme Court Citizens United decision, is the UNTHINKABLY VAST AMOUNTS OF MONEY paying for the superabundance of the Republican attacks ads in the Presidential swing states and, even more so, in the Senatorial swing states – which have made the races much closer than anyone anticipated six months ago.

Remember in November 

just how much the American people have been lied to by Trump!

We have one day left to try to convince others - via Facebook, Twitter, phone calls, texting, door-to-door -

6. VOTE BLUE because the real interests that the Republican candidates represent are the very rich and the powerful multinational corporations.

Our chance at slowing global warming so that humanity
can adapt the warming world with the least death and destruction is NOW.

The primary importance of the 2016 election is for the U.S. to be able to pass appropriate, effective warming gas emissions reductions as rapidly as possible. The annual average CO2 level is now above 400ppm and increasing – a level not seen since approximately 3 million years ago when sea level was about 80 feet higher. 

In the remaining days before the election, we can still volunteer to help in the effort to get out the BLUE vote: 

1. Go to campaign websites OR websites like Rock the Vote. Rock the Vote shows how you can help! 
2. You can volunteer to help nonpartisan groups to protect voting rights – groups like the Election Protection Coalition. 
3. Make your plan to vote and talk to friends and family to encourage them to do likewise – post your plans and ask others to respond. 
4. Text or call relatives in swing states and districts and do the same. 
5. Talk across the aisle, difficult as it is this election.

The Trump candidacy and those still endorsing Trump: 

• deny the need to address global warming
• stand for an America which values the kinds of discrimination and nativism etc. that existed before our civil war  
• share an attraction to a proto-fascist leader/society

As every second passes, more warming gases are accumulating in our atmosphere and increasing global warming. In addition to the emissions of warming gases that result directly from human activity, there are many natural physical consequences of warming (positive feedback loops) that are, in turn, increasing global warming further by, also releasing increasing amounts of warming gases into our atmosphere as global temperature increases.

We at the 12th hour in terms of runaway global warming when it can no longer be slowed by human activity, UNLESS the U.S. passes and implements the strongest possible policies to slow global warming and leads the worldwide community of nations in doing the same. 

VOTE OUT ALL GOP DENIERS!

WE DESPERATELY NEED AN ADMINISTRATION AND CONGRESS THAT WILL TAKE THE LEAD IN SLOWING GLOBAL WARMING.

We must lead in CLIMATE ACTION!

We must elect a DEMOCRATIC SENATE & HOUSE!

Completely compelling reasons 2 VOTE BLUE 2016:

1. If the incoming Administration and Congress does not pass effective, truly meaningful legislation to reduce warming gas admissions, we almost surely face runaway global warming.

• we need the U.S. to reduce emissions and try to reduce CO2 already in the atmosphere
•  only the U.S. can take the leadership role in helping China and other developing nations to radically reduce their emissions also.
2.  If we do not elect a Democratic President and a Democratic majority Senate: 
   
• appointments to the Supreme Court are extremely unlikely to reverse Citizens United, etc. 
•  Roe v. Wade may well be reversed 
3. If we cannot elect a majority in the House that is willing to pass meaningful legislation on all of the crucial outstanding issues – gridlocked by the current Republican House majority - we will: 
• not only  not get legislation to slow global warming 
• but we are likely to get stuck in a low interest economy 
• and not invest in the essential new infrastructure – producing vast job growth and overall economic growth, among other things. 
4. The GOP proposes "...to level the international playing field by lowering the corporate  tax  rate  to  be  on  a  par  with,  or  below,  the  rates  of  other  industrial  nations." MEANING: They propose tax reductions for the wealthy and for corporations which will increase the burden for the rest of the population. This election is our LAST CHANCE TO AVOID THE WORST for humanity!

Vote for those who are ABSOLUTELY COMMITTED to pass policies essential to sufficiently SLOW GLOBAL WARMING!

...this is no time for complacency.
