Global Warming: A MORAL ISSUE

Of course, global warming has many impacts on our physical (and social) environment.

However, RUNAWAY GLOBAL WARMING will cause the desecration of “Nature” (as humans have known it for about 10,000 years)  and will also cause injury, death, and destruction affecting humanity/civilization that will last for generations spanning 50,000 or more years.

This CLEARLY makes GLOBAL WARMING A MORAL ISSUE!

There is no debate among the great religions of the world that:
  1. global warmly is primarily the result of human activity (the burning of oil, gas and coal etc.) and therefore
  2. global warming can, possibly, be slowed enough to enable civilization to adapt to the changes due to a warming world and survive by sufficiently minimizing the harmful effects
  3. THE ALTERNATIVE TO RAPID, EFFECTIVE POLICY CHANGES IS RUNAWAY GLOBAL WARMING THAT THREATENS CIVILIZATION/HUMAN SURVIVAL.
Here is how the world’s great religions have underscored the MORAL nature of the issue of (rapidly) slowing global warming and the human responsibility to take action: (please click on captions to read each religion's stand)
